There is no way we can know that because we can’t compare magic in LotR with magic from Harry Potter, they are completely different forces which have shown to do completely different things. Therefore, it is possible that homenum revelio would work against Frodo’s invisibility, and it is equally possible that it wouldn’t, just like it is possible that Frodo could see through Harry’s invisibility cloak, and equally possible that is couldn’t, simple as that.

Frodo can see Harry through Cloak because Frodo when wearing One Ring enter into world of ghosts and shadows. I dont know if Harry could see Frodo with that spell, because that shadow world (Nazguls as undead belong to it) isnt simple invisibility, hobbit is more like undead in that realm.

although i think lord of the rings far surpasses harry pottter as a story, the main character in rowlings book beats the living tar out of frodo baggins

That’s a great argument CantSpellMyName, but this spell just work with muggles and witches, and Frodo is a Hobbit.
