This is ridiculous. Some of you actually think that Edward could beat Blade? Mary Sues do not equal victors. Blade’s abilities are far beyond his.

Firstly, I’d like to point something out: Blade has the abilities of a vampire, with none of the weaknesses. He’s just as strong, fast, agile, tough, and lethal as any of the Cullens, and he isn’t affected by sunlight either. Even if Edward fought in broad daylight(where he would have an advantage over other vampires) he would gain no edge over Blade. In fact, he would probably be at a disadvantage, because everything would appear glaringly bright to his sensitive eyes and he doesn’t have cool shades to protect ‘em like Blade does.

(This is also kind of random, but Edward would probably underestimate Blade, giving him an advantage. He wouldn’t figure him for a vampire, because all vampires in the Twiverse have pale skin regardless of ethnic background. And Edward doesn’t consider anything other than a vampire or a giant magical wolf to be dangerous.)

While Edward fight with his fists and teeth, Blade has an arsenal of weapons at his disposal, not just garlic and UV grenades. He carries around swords, guns, an awesome chain weapon, and other tools that have been proven to damage vampires in his universe, despite that they are MUCH tougher and stronger than any ordinary human. While Edward could probably keep going if he takes a bullet to the head, it wouldn’t do him any favors if their face was blown open and he couldn’t see. Also, I believe some versions cite Blade’s half-vampiric nature as giving him an IMMUNITY to the bites of vampires. Thus, those venemous pearly-whites of Edward would be next to useless against him.

The Edwards super-tough skin is useless. While their “granite” skin might be resistant to cutting, it is BRITTLE AND RIGID. If hit by enough force, he will shatter like glass. According to the author herself, the only reason their bodies can move at all is because a type of vampire juice lubricates their cells. Blade could just bring a really, really big hammer to this fight and make a mess of him. Barring that, Twilight vampires can be killed by sheer strength, and Blade can lift over a ton, more if he drinks human blood. In their universe, their limbs can be ripped off with superhuman strength, and they burn just as easily as normal humans. Blade, an experienced vampire hunter, would probably not be stupid enough to leave the corpses of vampires lying around. He’d burn them. Blade carries flamethrowers with him, y’know? Even if he couldn’t rip him apart, he’d just cover him with flames. Vampire flesh, tough as it is, has shown no resistence whatsoever to burning. In fact, that’s the preferred method of disposing of vampires in the Twiverse.

And the scary thing for Edward is that Blade doesn’t rely on his brute strength or powers to win, unlike him. Those are just tools to his end. His real danger comes in the fact of his martial skills. He’s a masterful fighter who’s skill in hand-to-hand combat far surpasses any of the Cullens. He’s taken on whole groups of vampires, each with superhuman speed and strength, and held them all off. Why? Because he has technique, and skill.

Edward barely do any fighting. Edward drives around in his Volvo looking depressing and tragic. The only times he actually fight other vampires are when the ocasional group of newborn vampires attack, and from what we’ve seen of them, newborns are vampire n00bs who can’t do anything but berserk with raw strength. The only Cullen that would come close to anywhere near Blade’s level would be Jasper, but I think even he would be defeated eventually.

Emmett (the stronger Cullen) would just be a big lump of meat for Blade to chop up. Eclipse, the third book of the Twilight “Saga”, paints him as having a rather brutish fighting style that is fairly easy for one of the other Cullens to disable(during practice combat.) Blade would take him down with the equivalent effort it takes to push a shelf over. Emmett’s clumsy style would do most of the work for Blade.

Edward? Potentially more dangerous, due to his speed, but his mind-reading abilities are useless. Blade knows multiple languages, including a “vampire language” that doesn’t exist in the Twiverse. In one of the Twilight books, Alice was able to thwart Edward’s mental reading by thinking in a different language that he didn’t know. How is Edward going to anticipate Blade’s moves when his thoughts sound like gibberish to him? Even if he could, Eclipse proved that Edward doesn’t have much of an edge over other vampires, because Jasper(a vampire with greater experience and skill) was able to fight him to a stalemate despite his greater speed and telepathy. Blade would own him. Also, his reflexes are MUCH better than that of any known human, even to the level that he reacts before his brain is able to interpret the information (which happens even in human martial artists, and their reflexes are still much worse than Blade's). Even if he moves fast, Blade would own him.

know one seems to be basing this match up based off skill and ability. true blade is superior when it comes to martial skill, and weaponry but that's it. blade runs faster than the fastest human, probably about 40 mph tops, and is far stronger than the average human, he could press at most 2 tons( going by the comics) and yea he has guns, and superior senses.
ed has the mind reading, superior speed (never stated exactly how fast but its commonly agreed his running speed hits triple didgits on an mph scale)
his durability surpasses that of blades (skin hard as marble) his regenerative abililty surpasses blades (dismemberment and cremation required for permanent death) and his strength is worlds apart. alice commented that ed could throw a bently like a basket ball. a bently is a bout a 3000 pound car, to throw it suggest his strength is herculean and give's some idea to what his press could be, probably capable benching at least 30-35,000 pounds.
now i'm not a twilight fan girl, im a guy. and i aint gay. i'm the type of guy who analyzes power and while i agree that edward is gay as hell i gotta give it to ed…..with the exception of intellect where they're probably equal, ed has got blade beat at every possible venue. and whereas blade have to repeatedly deal massive damage just to slow ed down (near impossible since he doesn't tire and can exert his full physical potential indefinitely) edward needs to only land one hit, and with a fraction of his true might to put blade away for good. now some might say “what about blade's guns”. if edward moves faster than blade can keep track of, added with knowing blade's moves before he makes them, how would u expect blade to land a hit? and if he does exactly how damaging would it be?

You're all forgetting that Deacon Frost had superhuman speed(as fast as Cullen) and Blade still completely annihilated him. The only advantage Ed has is mind reading, however I'm pretty sure Ed is going to start crying uncontrollably or flat out haul ass to get out once he sees what Blade plans on doing to him. His ass would have been toast in the first movie. None of his weapons would work on Edward or the other vampires in Twilight. Their skin as hard as marble. Most of the Vampires that Blade kills he's does rather quickly with his sword or other random weapons made of silver he carries along with him. None of those weapons would work on Edward or other of his kind. SO bye bye weapons. Also, someone mentioned above about flame throwers… FIRST you have to rip the vampire to pieces and THEN burn them. Flame throwers are useless unless you do that first.

I could go on and debate Edwards whole mind reading thing. I'm just going to mark it up as a slight advantage because Blade doesn't have it. Some people mention that Blade has his martial arts as an advantage. Really? If you look at the speed factor, Edward moves at a much faster speed than Blade. Before Blade could get half a karate kick in, he would be dead. As far as I'm concerned, Edward needs one good shot at Blade and Blade is Toast. Some guy above mentioned “well, if Blade brought a really big hammer to the fight” blah blah blah…Stop grasping for straws buddy, it's a little sad.

All super heroes could be taken apart piece by piece and categorized as Gay. Superman runs around with his underwear on top of his pants and a cape. But he's not gay. Ok, so even though Blade kicks ass, all of his weapons would be of no use in a fight against the Cullens. They cannot be damaged by any knives, bullets, garlic or sunlight. Edward can also read his mind and know exactly what blade is going to do before he even does it. If the Cullens are fighting together, he has even less of a chance because Alice can see the future, Emmit has super strength and speed and Jasper could control Blade's emotions. The battle would be awesome to see but the fight is between two different types of vampires. The Cullens are unlike anything that Blade has ever fought and I really think that the Cullens would win. Hands Down Not contest.

even if Edward Cullen could try to fight Blade, Blade of course still wins as he has fought Deacon Frost [who like Edward Cullen runs pretty Damm fast] and still won and even fought against The King of Vampires Count Dracula in Blade Trinaity but once again after a long and leathy fight to death he won again and in Blade 2 he battled Jared Nomak a Vampire Verison of Spiderman but again whiped the vampire Mutant's Butt after anthor long ass fight, so how do you figure Edward Cullen would even defeat Blade as Blade wins regardless.

If i remember correctly, Edward can read minds, but unless Blade is thinking right before he shoots “okay, I’m going to shoot right below his left shoulder”, the ability is useless. Plus, all of the weapons that we have at our disposal, pistols, rifles, even rocket launchers, the show said it cant kill him, it can still slow him down though. And the survey is on 2 vampires, of fucking course blade is going to loose if he is fighting a family of 7 super vampires.

If were going by the movies here Edward would kill Blade. Blade is obviously a superior fighter but that’s if he could lay a hand on Edward who could read his mind. Edward is shown as being FAR faster than Blade ( at least in the movies) and at least equal in strength. Blade’s weapons would have no effect on Edward. Sword, Garlic, Sunlight, Silver, Bullets, Stakes, etc have no effect and the edged weapons would not pierce”Diamond hard skin”   I love Blade way more but going by the movies Edward should be able to use his mind reading and speed advantage and win.

Edward gets killed. Fast. Edward can move quickly, maybe in “triple digits”, but he can’t move faster than the speed of any bullet. Edward can read thoughts, but that will only work on an untrained fighter who has to think about most of the moves he will make. Blade,. or any trained fighter will react with reflexes and muscle memory, something Edward won’t read. Ed might read a thought like “I’m going to kill this sparkly pedophile”, but he won’t know which weapon Blade is reaching for until he sees it. BTW, Deacon Frost dodged bullets fired at him at close range – PRE-LaMagra. Blade moved just as fast to save the little girl form the bus that Deacon tossed her in front of. Blade’s head was smashed through a marble pillar during a fight, and it didn’t faze him. Those feats alone add up to a CURB-STOMP on Edward Cullen.

And anyone arguing against bullets shattering Edward (1) hasn’t watched the Twilight movies – where brute force is shown to shatter Vampires repeatedly and easily, and (2) understands nothing of kinetic energy transfer. Bullets CRUSH tissue, not cut it. A .44 Magnum will transfer 1036 ft/bs to Edward Cullen’s “Marble-hard” chest. If Blade uses a 30-06 rifle, it’s 2701 ft/lbs of pressure per shot. Edward has no soft tissue to displace the force. It means that he will shatter into pieces. Sorry Fan Girls.

Anyone with a 44 Mag, or a rifle can kill Edward. ANYONE. Especially a Vampire Hunter who can react and move faster than a bullet.

just because someone is a vampire hunter doesn’t mean that they can kill every vampire in the world and various multiverses(granted, Blade did defeat Dracula and subsequently the whole race but only because of an airborn virus)… so no, not enough said.

First, Blade was the one who got his ass kicked in the Dracula fight……. he barely got that virus injected into Dracula and if it hadn’t worked he would have been destroyed. Blade barely one against Frost… he nearly lost before he managed to get ahold of the EDTA which Frost assumed was the serum and let his guard down, which was the only reason he won. Now i’ve never read the Twilight series books nor have i seen very
many movies of the twilight series and as for Blade, i’ve seen the
three movies and parts of the television show but i have never read
the comics. So, going by the information on this page that has been
thrown back and forth, i’d have to say that it would be a long drawn
out, even battle, until Edward thought he finally won after beating
Blade down to his knees, and let his gaurd down to talk to Bella or
something, and then Blade would capitalize on that chance and attempt
a sneak attack, like he did in movies 1 and 3.

i can’t seem to recall what happened in 2 but in the fights
against Frost and Dracula, they both kicked his ass until he was
essentially bowing down to them, though reluctantly, and they were on
a cocky rant as they thought they had won and were just grinding
their victory in his face until someone showed up with the one thing
that could defeat them. Deacon lost to the EDTA after Blade’s sword
flew through the air and dislodged the pack with it’s defensive
mechanism. the EDTA fell down, Frost thought it was the serum and
wasn’t afraid, blade stuck it in his chest… Frost blew up…
Dracula lost by an arrow flying at him that he caught and snapped, he
dropped it to the ground, thinking it was no longer a threat when
Blade got the arrowhead and stabbed it into Dracula’s chest. then
Dracula vommitted, explosively, the airborn virus that supposedly
killed the whole race.

the two super vampires, one being the first and the other being a
God, died almost exactly the same way… so i guess you could say
that Ed’s ability to read minds would benefit him in being able to
read Blade’s predictability and he would avoid the sneak attack and
pummel Blade until he was sure that Blade was indeed dead. I want
Blade to win, badly, but it sounds like Ed has the game in the bag
when it comes to a drawn out battle.

yes, most of the U.S.’ leading boxers were black however, thats only in the U.S. In the rest of the world, the majority is white boxers or the nation’s race. and also, thats only one sport within the U.S. that compared to the overwhelming caucasian skilled fighters in the U.S. is a rather small percentage. not that i’m putting the black community down or anything, theres just not that many black fighters in the U.S. compared to caucasian fighters. The majority of the black community in the U.S. don’t currently have that many role models in boxing or other fighting sports of the same race so most never think about fighting as a career any more. Also, Blade isn’t known for his boxing skills, he’s known for his martial arts skills which are a very different set of skills.

This is all nonsense.  First of all the vampires from Blade’s universe are nowhere near the vampires in Twilight.  They are much faster…the author states that the Cullens were al but invisible when moving at top speed.  Think Deacon Frost.  Now add granite skin and telepathy.  Speaking of that granite skin where does it say it is brittle and will shatter like glass?  If that were true then all a vampire would have to do is hit another hard enough when in a fight and win.

Blade may be able to think in other languages…but how is he to know that Edward reads minds?   The vampires in his world don’t have gifts and Edward and the people who know he can read minds aren’t going to be telling Blade.  This is the No Limits fallacy.  Fail

Blade’s martial arts skills?  Useless against rock like skin…he’d just break his hand if he hit hard enough.  And that’s assuming he manages to hit Edward who is much faster and is reading his mind to boot.  The same goes for his sword and other weapons.

Finally as for Blade’s reflexes…umm Edward has FASTER reflexes…he’s faster remember?
